Maja A. Ngom is a Polish-Senegalese visual artist working across sculpture, installation, photography, video and text.

Her creative practice is deeply informed by her personal experience of dual heritage. Through her work, she explores themes of belonging, longing, and the complexities of navigating a mixed-race Polish-Senegalese identity. She is also interested in the ways language shapes perceptions of cultural reality, as well as the symbolism embedded in visual ethnic-racial codes.

Drawing on frameworks from Black studies and the Polish cultural context, Ngom often examines embodied subjectivity within the intricate web of family ties and the broader social fabric.
